GOLF IN SPAIN
Golf is not only a sport, but also a healthy lifestyle and a perfect opportunity to get to know a country. Find out why Spain is the leader in European golf tourism. During your trip, you can also discover our artistic and cultural heritage and enjoy our traditional or avant-garde gastronomy.
Play surrounded by magnificent mountain landscapes or enjoy the sea breeze while practising your drive. After a round of golf, relax in our Parador hotels, spa facilities and thermal baths, which are oases of tranquillity in fantastically beautiful landscapes.
There are over 500 golf courses in Spain. To perfect your swing, you are spoilt for choice: 9-hole courses for quick rounds of fun or challenging 18-hole courses, which are common in Spain. There are also about 30 golf courses that combine both options. These courses have several routings with a total of 27 or 36 holes, so you can play for hours among greens, bunkers and water obstacles. More and more golf courses also have greens to practise pitching and putting and perfect your short shots.
Almost 80% of Spanish golf courses with less than 18 holes and more than 60% for golf courses with 18 holes or more use regenerated or desalinated water for irrigation, which is not appropriate for human use.
