The FESPO & Golfmesse 2025 scores points across the board
The FESPO & Golfmesse, which ended today (Sunday), has drawn a positive balance. Around 42,000 visitors came to Messe Zurich to find out about various types of travel and holiday destinations and to be inspired by the numerous attractions such as the diving container. The offerings at the golf fair were also very well received.
FESPO, Switzerland's largest travel platform, opened its doors from 30 January to 2 February 2025. And visitors came in their droves: Around 42,000 wanderlust sufferers and travel enthusiasts came to find information and inspiration on all types of travel. ‘We are proud that we were once again able to welcome a very pleasing number of visitors. Personal advice and dialogue are and will remain an important part of travel planning - accordingly, countless travel dreams were turned into reality at FESPO 2025 with expert support,’ explains Exhibition Director Stephan Amstad.
The meeting place for travel dreams and inspiration
With the relevant Swiss providers, international destinations and attractions such as the diving container, FESPO 2025 offered a varied programme that was very popular with visitors. The Golfmesse, the most important meeting place for the Swiss golf scene, also impressed with an extensive driving range and tips for the upcoming golf season. A total of around 500 exhibitors presented themselves, accompanied by around 500 inspiring presentations on exciting destinations, unforgettable travel experiences and current golf topics.
From the Caribbean to the Engadin: personal encounters are the be-all and end-all
Personal contact took centre stage for the exhibitors: Toni Kahmann from the Jamaica Tourist Board had words of praise: ‘We conveyed a real island feeling with culinary snacks and Caribbean live music, which was very well received. I was particularly pleased that many visitors showed a genuine interest in Jamaica and approached us with concrete travel plans. We would love to be back next year.’
David Meyer, owner of the travel agency Tucan Travel, has had a stand at FESPO for 30 years and emphasises: ‘FESPO is the most important platform of all for us. Not only do we make valuable contacts, but we have also found our most loyal regular customers here over the years. There is no substitute for personal dialogue.’
In addition to long-distance travel, there was also inspiration for adventures in Switzerland. Gabriella Binkert, President of the Board of Directors of Destination Samnaun, Scuol, Zernez and Val Müstair, summarises: ‘We are back after four years and have benefited enormously. There was particular demand for culinary experiences, hiking and biking adventures as well as sustainable offers, which are attracting more and more young people. Next year, we would like to have a bigger presence.’
